Kilimanjaro Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the African continent's most magnificent sights.
The mountain's snow-capped volcano is the highest peak in Africa at 5895
meters tall. The upward trail winds through forests that vary constantly
with the altitude, and finally opens out into open moorland below the
rocky, snow covered Kibo plateau. Experience the roof of Africa!

Nature walks/Trekking Many of our clients enjoy a 2 to 3 hour walk from camp in the morning
with a game drive in the afternoon. We have the most experienced guides
in the field, who will introduce you to those smaller creatures of our
planet. Walk with the Maasai people and learn of their fascinating culture
and adaptation to their environment, how they will magically transform
a stem of a tree into a bow and arrow or a fire, what medicines lie in
the roots of trees and much more. |

Ballooning A balloon safari can only be done in the heart of the Serengeti National
Park. This hour long flight gives you a "diverse" view of the wildlife
from above the ground. After landing a traditional toast with champagne
followed by breakfast cooked on the balloon burner. |

Safaris on Horse Back If you enjoy horseback riding why not spend a few days of your safari
riding. Short trips from your comfortable lodge or several day excursions
add a new dimension to an African safari. Relive the pioneering days of
untamed Africa or ride slowly through mountain forests or wildlife terrain
with resident game. For safety, horseback safaris do not take place in
areas with abundant wildlife.

Visit to a local village or school The options for interaction with the amazing peoples of Tanzania are
endless. Many guests choose to visit small villages near camp to get a
glimpse of Tanzanian culture. These short visits are often viewed by guests
as the most rewarding and eye opening part of a safari in Africa.

Canoeing In the company of an experienced guide you may enjoy canoe trips lasting
from a few hours, to a full day on Lake Manyara. We can arrange two-person
canoes from which you can see flamingos, and with binoculars search the
shores for wildlife. |

Sailing Midsummer is available for charter and highly recommend on a visit to
Zanzibar. Either sail from Dar to Zanzibar or charter the boat for a few
days to access the beautiful reefs around Zanzibar itself. There is nothing
quite like sitting on deck at night moored just off Stone Town, lanterns
hung from the masts, lights of Stone Town twinkling in the distance and
the stars reflected in the calm sea. "We slept on deck as the cabins
are too small and hot for me… the skipper brought up linen duvets and
pillows and very comfortable mattresses for this purpose. It was wonderful
to wake up to a golden dawn, the mosques calling faintly and two dolphins
spinning around the boat". |

Lightweight walking safaris – mobile camp For the more adventurous trekker we operate all day walking trips between
camps that take you closer to Africa than almost any other option. Walking
safaris require very mobile lightweight camps that can be moved either
by donkey or pick-up trucks. The tents are made of mosquito netting and
are tall enough to stand in. A shower tent and a mosquito proof mess tent
complete the camp. Guides are armed for client safety and carry portable
radios.

Star Camping Sleep under the stars as close to Africa as you dare, and cook by the
fire in the great trekker tradition. Sleep in a bedroll on the ground,
eat and chat by the fire. Star camping is ideal for Ruaha National Park
where the nights are warm, and the walking allows your team to explore
areas of the park that are least accessible. |
